  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup milk
  1. Beat the butter with the cocoa until combined.
  2. Add the milk and vanilla, and beat until smooth.
  3. Gradually beat in the powdered sugar until you have the desired consistency.
  4. Adjust the consistency with more milk or powdered sugar if you need to.

  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 tbsp margarine or butter
  • 4 cups powered sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  1. The chocolate and margarine in a large microwavable bowl on high 1 minute or until margarine is melted.
  2. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
  3. Stir in sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Let stand, if necessary, until its at idea spreading consistency, stirring occasionally.
  5. Spread quickly.
  6. Add 2 to 3 tbsp additional milk if frosting becomes to thick.
