Ingredients
  • 1 quart whipped cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 package fresh strawberries
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • ¼ package strawberry gelatin
  • 8 square chocolate wafers
  • Fresh berries, to garnish
Instructions
  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then sprinkle the sugar over them and let them stand for an hour.
  2. Mash them, and then rub them through a sieve. Dissolve the gelatin in the hot water, and then stir in the cold water.
  3. Add the gelatin to the mashed strawberries and leave the mixture to thicken in the refrigerator.
  4. Fold in the whipped cream, then chill the mousse for 3 hours or until it is set.
  5. Put a chocolate wafer on each of 4 serving plates and drizzle chocolate sauce over the whole plate.
  6. Top the wafers with a scoop of strawberry mousse, then another wafer and finally another scoop of strawberry mousse.
  7. Garnish the desserts with fresh berries.
